In Greek mythology this beautiful bird was considered Athena's pet...
Why?

Well... The little owl (Athene noctua ) represents wisdom and knowledge and therefore, was associated with Athena, precisely the greek goddess of civilization, wisdom, strategy, arts, justice and skills!

This beautiful bird of prey was photographed in Évora (Alentejo region, Southern Portugal).

      Oh! It is beautiful! At one point in my life I had some lovely earrings that depicted Athena's owl. Now I'm wondering what became of them! Thanks for posting to #featheredfriends ❤️. !Tip
