A centralized social media is one that provides its users with a forum to communicate with others while adhering to certain laws. The activities carried out on a centralized social network are described and controlled by the board of directors, restricting the rights of its users. A centralized social media platform can be exploited by a government or other powerful individual. It is primarily distinguished by its ownership structure and the location of its records.

A decentralized social media is one that stores its users' data on the blockchain system, rendering it almost impossible to hack. Apps on a decentralized social media site have the freedom to share anything they want. That is, it gives users the freedom to produce whatever content they want, whether positive or negative, and it also rewards them for producing high-quality content on the site.

Decentralized social media, I believe, is the future of social media. There are several benefits that have come with the arrival of decentralized social media, including the fact that the platform allows users complete autonomy over their accounts, allowing them to select and run their accounts as they see fit without being bound by laws imposed by others who claim to own or control the platform, as is the way of centralized social media operation.

Another advantage of decentralized social media is that it allows users to earn money on the platform while still providing a high level of security through the private keys of the accounts, which should be written down in many locations to avoid misplacing them, and if the account owner loses the private keys to his or her account, the account will be lost. The account is encrypted until the private keys are exposed, whereas, these features are not available in the centralized social media network.

• Freedom:
  Steemit is a decentralized social media platform with full transparency Twitter and Facebook are centralized social media platform, where all activities are overseen by the platform administration.

• Reliability:
  Users' private keys are generated by Steemit, giving them solid protection and control over their accounts, making Steemit more dependable.
  Twitter and Facebook system isn't that secured, They allow users to choose their own passwords, and many serious cases of hacking and hijacking have been reported.

• Rewards System:
  Users' activities on Steemit were rewarded by upvotes for producing high-quality content on the site.
  Users of Twitter and Facebook receive no compensation, and there is no loyalty scheme in place for those who use these two centralized sites.

• Investment Opportunity:
  There is opportunity to make investment on Steemit by buying steem power, voting quality contents and receiving curation rewards
  Twitter and Facebook have no investment plans for their users

• Plagiarism is Prohibited:
  Steemit only appreciate and encourage original contents only.
  Twitter and Facebook welcome people who copy and paste other people's contents without referencing the source

In several ways has Steemit proven to be far better compared to Twitter and Facebook platform.

Many people's lives have been greatly affected financially as a result of Steemit's incentive scheme, which has helped a large number of people. Steemit honors its users for their contributions to the site.
Many people can do research from home and produce something of high quality, which they can then share in their different steemit communities and be praised for. I know of a friend who was sacked some years back, when steemit started, and when steemit was introduced to him, he took it whole heartedly and began to work on it. He was able to successfully financed his family affairs, and got himself established through what he earned through steemit, and now he is living fine being a self business owner and a blogger.

For millions of people, the incentives users received from their high-quality content have become a source of income. Steemit has changed people's perceptions and helped to develop young authors. Investors who have discovered nad make use of the steemit platform are doing well.
Project Hope is one of the steemit community, and they have a foundation that supports Venezuelans; all of these resources come from the Steemit platform.

How can we make money with Steemit's decentralized social media.(write your own experience)

As I have said earlier that plagiarism is highly frowned upon by the steemit community, therefore, only original contents can be rewarded.
Users earn upvotes for their high-quality content, and the upvotes are used to distribute rewards from the reward pool, which is paid out after A week of post creation. The reward is grouped into 2, A part of it goes to the author and the other part of it goes to those who voted the posts which is called curation reward. The part which goes to the author is also divided into 2, 50% as SBD which can be exchanged to other cryptocurrencies, or withdrawn and the other 50% goes to steem power. Steem power can also be powered down and exchanged to other currencies too or withdrawn, but it is good to keep steem power as it serves as investment.
It is not just through writing that you can earn on the steemit platform, but also through investment. Investors buy steem and power it up, while they can delegate it as voting power, they can use it and upvote contents through which they can get curation rewards, they can use it to support a project and all of theses is for a purpose which is called investment. They can aswell lease it out for instant payment to those who might need it.
