My grandfather had a garden in his house and he always liked to grow flower plants, which gave the house a colorful view. Rose plants always had an important place in my grandfather's garden.

When the land was not good, my grandfather was disappointed because he could not sow in it.

On the spiritual level, God gives us a wonderful teaching with the parable of the sower:

That day Jesus left the house and sat by the sea.
2 And many people gathered with him; and when he got into the boat, he sat down and all the people were on the beach.
3 And he spoke many things to them in parables, saying, Behold, the sower went out to sow.
4 And while he was sowing, part of the seed fell by the roadside; and the birds came and ate it.
5 Some fell on stony ground, where there was not much soil; and it sprouted early, because it had no depth of earth;
6 But when the sun rose, it burned; and since it had no root, it withered.
7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns grew and choked her.
8 But a part fell on good soil and bore fruit: one hundred, sixty and thirty times one.
9 He who has ears to hear, let him hear. Matthew 13: 1-9

This parable is very beautiful and nourishing for the soul. The seed that is sown is the word of God and the ground where it falls is the person who hears the word of God.

The seed that falls on good soil represents the believer who, after hearing the word of God, receives Christ and begins to bear important fruit in the eyes of God. He is not an emotionalist believer, who receives the word and when problems arise he turns away from God. He is a very firm and planted believer in the word of God, who when problems arise, remains confident in the Lord and overcomes difficulties.

If we make good ground for God to plant his seed, we will enjoy God's love and care about good growth as Christians.
