As a married woman and according to the time of experience in my marital relationship, I can testify that a marriage outside of God's plan, is exposed to failure and rupture.

If we follow God's guidelines according to what He establishes for marriage, surely, the couple's relationship will be successful and holy in the eyes of God.

The woman must recognize her role in God's plan for marriage. God commands that the wife be subject to her husband.

22 Let the wives be subject to their own husbands, as to the Lord; 23 for the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church, which is his body, and he is her Savior. 24 Therefore, as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be subject to their own husbands in everything. Ephesians 5:22-24

By God's command, married women must accept the authority of their husbands, just as Christ exercises His authority over the church. The fact that a wife must be subject to her husband does not give him the right to control and manipulate her. If this occurs, there can be a marital confrontation that can lead to the breakdown of the marriage.

Husbands must recognize that they have authority over the wife on the same basis as Christ has over the church. Christ gave his life for the church, which teaches us that a man must sacrifice his life for his wife. When the husband gives up pride and treats his wife harmoniously, this helps the marriage to develop in love and cordiality. The marriage reaches maturity and becomes more and more successful according to God's command.

Married women owe respect, love and honor to their husbands. Wives should fulfill their biblical roles in order to receive from God the necessary strength and holiness.

The success of a marriage will always depend on the fulfillment of God's plan for the married couple. To try to take a marriage relationship outside of God's plan is to throw the marriage off a cliff.
