¿Estamos cumpliendo la función que nos toca? ¿O solo estamos llenando un puesto para sentirnos moralmente superiores? ¿Estamos tendiendo la mano al caído? ¿Estamos ayudando al huérfano y a la viuda? ¿Velando los unos por los otros en oración? Estas preguntas me venían a la mente cuando leía los evangelios y trataba de comparar un poco lo que definió a aquella iglesia con la iglesia que observo hoy en día en mi localidad... ¿Hemos sido cobardes? ¿Nuestro evangelio ha sido solo de palabras y no de acción? ¿Nuestra fe ha sido muerta? ¿Qué dirían los primeros cristianos de nuestro servicio? ¿Esta pandemia nos ha acercado o alejado de Dios? ¿Hemos confiado en él en estos tiempos? ¿Cuánto tiempo le hemos dedicado a su palabra? ¿Esta temporada nos tomó por sorpresa?

Soy un joven con muchos errores por corregir, con mucho por aprender pero algo que me han dejado mis cortos 20 años es que para avanzar hay que reconocer las fallas y luego accionar para solventarlas, para mejorar, para crecer y no caer en el temido estancamiento... Oro a Dios para que nos permita ver esos pecados que nos son ocultos, aquello que tomamos como correcto cuando no lo es, aquel relavimismo que abrazamos en algún momento y que nos ha alejado de su Santo Ser Excelso.

Lucas 8:17 Pues no hay nada oculto que no haya de ser manifiesto, ni secreto que no haya de ser conocido y salga a la luz.

Salmo 19:12 ¿Acaso hay quien reconozca sus propios errores? ¡Perdóname por los que no puedo recordar!

Are we fulfilling our role? Or are we just filling a position to feel morally superior? Are we reaching out to the fallen? Are we helping the orphan and the widow? Are we watching over one another in prayer? These questions came to mind as I read the gospels and tried to compare a bit of what defined that church with the church I observe today in my locality? Have we been cowards? Has our gospel been only words and not action? Has our faith been dead? What would the early Christians say about our service? Has this pandemic brought us closer or further away from God? Have we trusted him in these times? How much time have we given to his word? Has this season taken us by surprise?

I am a young man with many mistakes to correct, with much to learn but something that my short 20 years have left me is that to move forward we must recognize the failures and then act to solve them, to improve, to grow and not fall into the dreaded stagnation .... I pray to God to allow us to see those sins that are hidden from us, that which we take as correct when it is not, that relavimism that we embraced at some point and that has distanced us from His Holy Excellency.
