RIGHTEOUSNESS THROUGH FAITH

Romans 3 vs.19-20

"Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. 20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin."

Obviously, righteousness in the law was unattainable. Why, because all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. And mind you, breaking one law of God means breaking all the laws altogether.

James 2:10, ESV: "For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it."

Therefore God decided to make peace with the world through the atoning blood of His son (Jesus Christ), for the cleansing of our sin. Therefore what God recognizes as righteousness through faith is the world's adoption of the sacrifice He made out of Jesus Christ at Calvary.
