Happy Easter Heartchurch
Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they know it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. This was the wisdom of God that His death on the cross became the undoing of the enemy and also the foundation for living His life. For the scripture said: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves but unto Him which died for them and rose again . His death was not theoretically but a reality and He died not just to be celebrated and to be remembered but rather He died to effect a change. His death was like a force that terminates the OLD and ushers the new life, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves.
Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone; but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. Thank God that He died in order to release His life in us. So let's remind ourselves that He died so as to have men and women who can bear His life about.
Oh, this ought to be our joy and the reason for remembering His death and resurrection; that I am part of the fruit of His death and that His life is radiating through me. Men who understood this had one singular cry each day of their lives "That they may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His suffering being made conformable unto His death" . Where do we fall in this regard.
And it shall be when they son asketh thee in time to come , saying , what is this ? That thou shalt say into him, by strength of the hand of the Lord brought us out from Egypt from the house of bandage; Exodus 13:14. We celebrate things now without asking questions. God was given Israelites ordinance but did not want them to lose the import of the Passover, He wanted them to tell the story of their deliverance. How can one celebrate Easter without telling the story of His deliverance from the bondage of sin. This is the time to ask questions, what is this?Is it possible to celebrate His death while still living in Sin? Then the question will be for what did He die?
