Am I Spiritual or carnal?

The Bible in the book of Galatians 6:8
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption: but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

A sculptor begins his work by making the structure that will serve as a support, using different materials such as wire, iron, aluminum, wood according to the size and weight it is supposed to support will be the material used for the construction of the skeleton.

Then he chooses a different material that he will mold with his hands to cover the structure, the final result will be the work thought and worked by the sculptor.

God is the sculptor par excellence, he made the first man Adam with dust from the earth, with his hands he molded the earth as if it were plasticine to form each of the bones of the body, the human skeleton is the support that holds the rest of the work (the body).

Later he molds each one of the organs of the body placing each one in its place and everything is covered with skin, the work is finished and God is pleased.

He has made the first man of flesh, blood and bones which makes him a human being with natural life when he breathes the breath of life into Adam's nostrils.

From the Bible we have learned to acquire knowledge, the first man sinned and his humanity was disrupted, he lost the quality and purity with which he was made, he underwent a transformation of things he did not have which included weakness and death.

Since then man has been a slave of his carnal nature, with the passing of the years he has neglected himself allowing his condition to rule him producing a poor, sad and miserable life, bowed down by sickness, anger, jealousy, envy, quarrels, enmities, divisions, fornication, adultery, idolatry and many other similar things. The Bible teaches this extensively in the book of Galatians 5:19 and these elements are called the fruits of the flesh.

The carnal produces fruit of the flesh and these in turn separate us from God because they are sins, hence the importance of renouncing the sinful lifestyle that is the result of the works of the flesh.

The fruit is the product that contains the seed, this seed within the fruit develops, matures and later becomes the ideal vehicle for the reproduction of the tree or plant to which it belongs.

The new birth

The man who is born again, is born of the spirit, this condition enables him to live the spiritual life to which we are called by making use of the power of the Holy Spirit of God, who lives within the man who is born again.

The Bible says in the book of Isaiah 61:3 to command that the afflicted of Zion be given glory instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of joy instead of a spirit of heaviness; and they shall be called trees of righteousness, the plantings of the LORD, for his glory. We are compared to trees that bear good fruit in abundance, Isaiah 61 describes an enormous transformation that is acquired through the new birth.

We are called to practice love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, meekness, temperance. This is the fruit of the Spirit of God who dwells in us and it is also living and walking in the Spirit.

Jesus teaches in the book of John 15:5 I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from me you can do nothing.

This means that when we produce spiritual fruit we become replicas of Jesus Christ.

God help us to be Spiritual and bear much fruit!
