The inheritance that has touched us / La herencia que nos ha tocado
We all long to be blessed by God. Who doesn't want your love, care, and protection?
Isaiah 54:17 assures us:
“No weapon forged against you will prosper, and you will condemn every tongue that rises up against you in judgment. This is the inheritance of the servants of Jehovah, and their salvation from me will come, said Jehovah."
Now, many times we find ourselves with the question: why does the bad man do well and the just do bad?
In the book of Psalms we repeatedly observe the same question on the part of the writers.
David came to exclaim:
“The arrogant mock me a lot, but I have not departed from your law. I remembered, O Jehovah, your old judgments, and I was comforted." Psalm 119: 51-52
We meditate on the Word of God from the book of Genesis onwards we notice over and over again that God's blessing is reserved for those who fear him and keep his commandments. But that does not mean that they are acquitted of periods of trial or tribulation.
Great news is that the process is not the end. God will bring out the best in us through the valley of pain, as he will
refine us like gold until he sees his own face reflected in us.
The test we will exclaim with joy: God has been good! His hand allowed me to be more like Him. And His blessing does not impoverish or sadden, rather it lifts up the poor and needy, granting them a place of honor and honor. It is the inheritance of Jehovah's servants!
Todos anhelamos ser bendecidos por Dios. ¿Quién no desea su amor, cuidado y protección?
Isaias 54: 17 nos asegura:
“Ninguna arma forjada contra ti prosperará, y condenarás toda lengua que se levante contra ti en juicio. Esta es la herencia de los siervos de Jehová, y su salvación de mí vendrá, dijo Jehová.”
Ahora, muchas veces nos encontramos con la interrogante: ¿por qué al malo le va bien y al justo le va mal?
En el libro de los Salmos observamos repetidas veces la misma interrogante por parte de los escritores.
David llegó a exclamar:
“Los soberbios se burlaron mucho de mí, mas no me he apartado de tu ley. Me acordé, oh Jehová, de tus juicios antiguos, y me consolé.” Salmos 119: 51-52
Cuando meditamos en la Palabra de Dios desde el libro de Génesis en adelante notamos una y otra vez que la bendición de Dios está reservada para aquellos que le temen y guardan sus mandamientos. Pero eso no significa que sean absueltos de períodos de prueba o tribulación.
La gran noticia es que el proceso no es el final. Dios sacará lo mejor de nosotros a través del valle del dolor, pues nos refinará como al oro hasta ver su propio rostro reflejado en nosotros.
Pasada la prueba exclamaremos con júbilo: ¡Dios ha sido bueno! Su mano me permitió ser más como Él. Y su bendición no empobrece ni entristece, más bien levanta al pobre y menesteroso, otorgándole un lugar de honra y honor. ¡Es la herencia de los siervos de Jehová!
