How Much Fraud?
Having exposed a large sector of booming upvotes to be fraudulent, let's look at the cost of this in dollars.
I'll focus on the obvious fraud circle highlighted in booming02 and seeping into booming01, booming03 and booming04.
I won't dig beyond the top 25 accounts we're already aware of. There are more. So these figures are the absolute minimum. Every single account is powering down and taking money off the platform.
All values are taken from https://steemworld.org/.
I'll even do the maths for you. For the accounts that I've highlighted, I repeat, there are more, that's:
Pending Rewards: $9,284.94
Paid Rewards: $39,157.98
Total: $48,442.92
Now I feel that there's completeness in my work, I really am signing off.

Thank you. It looks very thorough (I see you've also tackled booming03). Have the accounts been blacklisted (e.g. @ sawang.sochau) or does removing the upvotes signal the end to this?
On Wednesday, we have another member joining the family which will detract from my fight here. @the-gorilla will post when the-baby-gorilla joins us but this will severly limit what I'm able to do. @sumanthp has been posting lists of plagiarised articles on a daily basis which will require the same scrutiny as the lists I share but will help in my absence.

@starlord28 is working out on tool to detect accounts who are using the same memo and we are also keeping a track of all spam/plagiarism cases on a day-to-day basis, we have maintained a Google spreadsheet if anyone wants we can share this sheet.

That's huge and concerning.
Unfortunately, what's gone is gone. @steemcurator01 and the @steemit team smashed the pending rewards into oblivion, saving that (and whatever future escalation) from leaving the platform. So all of that money will go to (hopefully) honest authors. Which kind of makes it a win.
I'm glad to see that you have taken up this work and are approaching it so diligently! Having been here through the last boom period, all I can say it "expect it to get worse as the Steem token increases in price." Sad, but the lure of money is too much for some people to handle in an honest fashion.
