Aspidistra elatior is evergreen that grow in shade under trees & shrubs. Their green leaves arise more or less directly from ground level, where their flowers usually appear which is common worldwide as a cool foliage house plant that is very tolerant of neglect.

In my garden there is a very similar one but called a fireball, it would be very nice to be able to publish it when it has its flower open, I like your publications every day I am more impressed by the number of plants and their properties that you share with us. regards
