Luis Rubiales Releases NFT Collection in Support of 'True Equality'

As for me, a conversation on the topic of cryptocurrencies cannot be considered complete without paying due attention to NFTs. Non-fungible tokens are created with a special meaning. Now we will talk about tokens that were created by the famous football functionary Luis Rubiales.

What tokens does Rubiales create?

The former president of the Spanish Football Federation himself said that he was creating a collection that would support “true equality.” That is, tokens are created for those who support true equality, not radicalism. In addition, Rubiales condemns media manipulation.

The description of the collection on OpenSea states that the tokens will reflect Rubiales' sports career. In addition, NFT tokens will show the childhood and youth of a professional athlete. As of January 19, 4 tokens were sold. Three were purchased with one wallet. The most expensive token costs 0.36 ETH. That is, more than 900 dollars.

Rubiales created his collection together with the Korean web-company Moon Labs.

A little background

Rubiales became involved in the scandal. He was accused of sexual assault. The fact is that at the World Cup he allowed himself to kiss Spanish national team player Jenny Hermoso on the lips. This happened during the celebration of victory in the final of the tournament. Louis stated that the kiss was consensual.

After that, everyone, without exception, attacked Rubiales. The girl herself contacted law enforcement agencies. In particular, to the National Court of Spain. She accused the federation president of sexual assault. In addition, she stated that he forced her to support his statement that the kiss was consensual. The football player herself denies that she consented to this kiss. They say she didn’t want to, but he forcibly kissed her.

After all these events, Rubiales created his own collection. With his tokens he wants to emphasize the meaning of true equality.
Thus, it can now be argued that famous people are ready to issue non-fungible tokens with or without reason. In tokens they reflect the reality that surrounds them. In addition, in NFTs they want to reflect significant events that happen in their lives. All these coins have a certain value. It is curious that the louder the scandal and the more famous the person, the more expensive the tokens.
