African Walks Or Driving Signs

No we don't have these signs everywhere definitely not in our cities, found mostly in National Parks, along some roads where wildlife does roam always a reminder to keep yourself out of harms way. Signs are international, pictures speak a thousand words...

0856Big5.JPG

Common sign within large game reserves is the Big 5 sign, yes sightings do happen, most are camouflaged from sight even the massive Elephant may be behind thick bush so common sense is stay in your vehicle at all times.

She was laying no more than ten meters from the roadside, on closer inspection there were three lionesses with cubs, only one close enough out to capture a photograph.

Walking in some regions on our northern coast you will find on or close to beaches signs with Hippo, Crocodile and Sharks never forget no matter where you are there are many other animals in the bushveld so never stray from paths, heed warnings and enjoy the view.

0312Ligawaan.JPG

Leguaan (as we South African's call them) or Nile monitor, is one of Africa's largest lizards. Quietly sunbathing about five meters in from the path, fast, powerful, not a crocodile but most definitely not something to play with.

On this particular day the hippo and crocodiles were sunbathing in the middle of the estuary, those photo's for another day.

Before moving onto to the next type of signs, let's take a look at a fun one that was outside of a sanctuary for wild cats, some wild cats do need assistance in getting numbers back into the wild, I do not support the idea of making money or showcasing them since they should be wild!

Signs are warnings carefully crafted to send a message, some with antelope, tortoise, penguins, mongoose, cats, baboons, dung beetles, warthog and even domestic cattle,

Blockchain Fun Facts - Signs Of Our Times

Forking as is implied is change in direction, hard fork is branching off to a new path with upgrade agreed by majority of miners. Soft fork, a change of software protocol, original chain will continue to follow old rules.

Hard Fork - Permanent change in nodes everyone working (mining/witnesses) on that blockchain will be required to update to continue working.

Soft Fork - Handles downward compatibility, enables nodes without new feature code to accept new transactions and blocks.

Signs are there for a reason Lady Joan and yes, we all know stories about tourists that would stop and get out of their cars to have a closer look. Suicide when there is a lion and cubs around.
One of those leguaans swiped my moms feet out from under her with his tail when she went to collect eggs in the chicken coop on the farm.
Blessings!

Have seen leguaan around in a few places in KZN, never one this big, yes farmers lose chickens and small animals to them, they are clever, fast and powerful.

You will have to take photo's of the penguin crossing signs in the Cape one of the unusual signs we don't get.

Hello beautiful, I would love to have those signs, that would say that the lion would be willing to pose for me like a cute kitten haha

Thanks for visiting, the post was ready for Wednesday and life happened once again, I am late.... Oh well always on African time!

yeah I remember the one safari I did seeing people get out even when told not to

no worries being late I am pretty easy going

those signs whoop whoop we only have dont drive to hard or stop signs hahahah, great and that lion is looking at the camera like : yes i am here relaxing !

She would have attacked having young cubs around, blending so well into the bush you could drive right past without noticing them.

Love how you paired the signs with your wildlife photos, Joan - wicked forking awesome! 😉 😂 😊

Nile monitor is stealthy and quick I did keep a close eye on him being so close.

With all the talk about forking it was something to share for those who may not quite understand what is happening.

Thank you for visiting and curate, appreciated Traci.

Whenever I travel abroad I take photos of the road signs, especially those that we don`t have in here, like Watch for elephants, Crossing for crocodiles, etc.

Some lovely road signs away from the normal ones found in the cities, that definitely catch your eye, glad you enjoyed them.
