Gen Milley talks removal of aircraft carrier captain
I get where they removed the Captain for going outside the chain of command, but there is also such a thing as disobeying an unlawful order. This Captains career was gone either way. If he would have not reached outside the chain of command he would have been blamed for the deaths on his ship because he seemingly did not do anything to alleviate the men under his charge. At this point, he walked off the ship, removed from his position because he cared for his men. Period.
