Lions, panthers and tigers are all essential for the Felidae group of felines, which began in Africa and offer a typical progenitor. Sooner or later, most likely around 2 million years prior, one branch-off of Felidae relocated east toward Asia, and those felines developed into the orange-, dark , and white-striped monsters we know today.
