MY FAVORITE BOXER - MARY KOM (INDIA)
November 24, 1982, born Indian boxer Mangte Chungneijang Mary Kom OLY, is named Magnificent Mary, the only Indian female boxer to reach the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed in the 51 kg flyweight division and won a bronze medal. She was also listed in the International Boxing Association as the No. 1 light-flyweight young woman.
She holds a position as the most successful boxer in the 2019 world championships. At the event, the former Manipur Prime Minister also announced that the road crossing the National Games in the Imphal West district, where Kom currently resides, would be called Mc Mary Kom Road. He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan Prize, India's second-highest award, in 2020.

She is the only woman to have won the World Amateur Boxing Championship six times, the only female boxer to win a medal in one of the first seven tournaments, and the only boxer to have won eight World Championships.
The President of India appointed her as a member of Rajya Sabha On 25 April 2016.

Mari Kom is the first gold medal winner at the 2014 Asia Games in Incheon, South Korea, and is the first Indian female boxer to win gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Boxer Mari Kom is the only one to be the Asian Amateur Boxing Champion record six times. Mary Kom won 51kg gold at the President's Cup in Indonesia.
After her sixth world title in 2018, the Manipur Government gave her the title "Meethoi Leima", which was freely translated as the greatest or most outstanding woman at a thanksgiving ceremony held in Imphal on 11 December 2018.
Mary Kom had tears in her eyes and smiled broadly when the referee raised Valencia's hand.
How does one end up losing despite being successful? Sounds weird? This happened to one of India’s top athletes in his final exit from the Olympics.
