Delhi violence: Police send Tahir Hussain's pistol and cartridges to forensics

Tahir Hussain has been booked for killing an IB employee Ankit Sharma during the Delhi riots, in which more than 50 people have died. His party, AAP, has suspended him from primary membership.

According to Crime Branch SIT sources, a suspended AAP leader who was booked for murder after the Delhi riots had a licensed pistol, which was seized and sent for forensic investigation.

During the violence, sources said, the gun suspect was at Tahir Hussain's house, and later with someone he knew.

Sources said 24 live cartridges have also been sent to forensic.

Hussain has been booked for the murder of Ankit Sharma, an IB employee during the riots, in which more than 50 people have died.

Sharma was found dead in a rivulet near his house in Chand Bagh; His family blamed Tahir Hussain for his murder. But Hussein says he is a victim of violence and says the allegations against him are baseless.

Tahir Hussain, on Thursday, rejected his request to surrender by a Delhi court and was remanded in police custody for seven days.
