Elon Musk is in trouble: $55 billion under scrutiny!

Tesla statements made by Elon Musk in 2018 continue to give headaches. Investors sued on the grounds that they suffered losses. Lawyers for a Tesla shareholder told a Delaware judge the other day that they misrepresented the $55 billion compensation package recommended by the company's board of directors for CEO Musk.

Lawyers say Musk doesn't deserve lucrative compensation plan
Attorney Greg Varallo made some statements in Delaware on Tuesday. In the statement, he said that the board members' proxy statements were half-truths and that it would be a reward for Musk. After that, Judge Kathaleen St. J. McCormick will decide the case without a jury.

Musk, on the other hand, stated in his previous hearings that he had no role in determining the compensation and that he did not understand the calculation process of the amount. However, Attorney Varallo suggested that Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion last year. After this acquisition, he stated that he was a part-time CEO at Tesla and did not deserve the most lucrative compensation plan in history.

Elon Musk has stated that he is not afraid of the Tesla board reviewing the payment offer, according to court filings. In addition, he described the process of changing the details of the payment package as “I am negotiating against myself”.
