Helping hands for School Children | Proposal for Fundraising
Introduction
Kids + School Education plays a very important role in our society. This combination provides the foundation for a great nation! That's why we care so much about the education of children.
Anyway, with the current economic crisis in Sri Lanka, most parents are facing difficulties in facilitating their kids' education. Even though government schools give free education, the cost of other stationaries and requirements is increasing day by day!
An Alumni group of the University Moratuwa (Sipsarana) has planned to support needy children around the island. We hope to select rural schools, and give a hope to achieve their dreams. This will be the first edition of the new round.
Proposed event
Providing stationery items and other equipment for children in Kattamurichchana School, Anuradhapura
Background
Kattamurichchana School is located near Thirappane Anuradhapura. 76 children are studying here with high hopes for their future. The area itself is rural, and people mainly live from farming.

There are children studying from grades 1 to 11. So, we planned to provide stationery items in different categories, worth around Rs.5000 per child, and some items for the schools.
Proposed Budget
Total amount = Lkr- 374,065.00 = 5788 STEEM
Donations
We have already collected around LKR.130,000 (worth 2,000 STEEM), from Engineering Professionals in Alumni group and my previous site and continuously collecting
Generous support from the @sl-charity account as always. (LKR.20,000 WORTH 310 steem ar current price)
I will donate 50% of this post earning's to the event.

- We are planning to execute the event on 9th of December 2022. So, anyone can participate in the event to cherish that beautiful moment. Deadline for fundraising is 5th of December 2022.
