THE DIARY GAME | 13th april | MOMNDAY | MY NEPHEW'S BIRTHDAY

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my diary post.
My days mostly are not that fun usually and do not involve a lot of activity other than me coding and reading books but today was a special day as i had quite a few errands to run and thought it would be fun to share my day with all of you.

I woke up at 5:30 which is my usual wake-up time. After fajr and having a short 5 minute run(considering that i am an impatient soul) i straight went to my computer desk and started working. I had to work on some extremely messed-up pages. After 2 hours of coding, I went to have a short nap and ended up sleeping till noon. Not that short of a nap right?

Anyways, I woke up again. Since i had no more time to scroll my social media and breakfast, i read a few pages off the book which is my current read called “ego is the enemy".

reading has been part of my new year's resolution just to get my day started off on the right foot and feel a lot more refreshed.it makes me zen out a little and keeps me off my screen for a while.

I then made my bed. I love making my bed and it makes my room look so clean and of course it doesn't make me crawl back to my bed.

I wanted something quick yet light to eat for lunch before heading up to my sister’s house for my niece’s birthday celebrations.
I kept some veggies and weirdly shaped kebabs in the oven to bake. While i got myself ready and cut the salad. In 10 minutes, I had freshly baked food in front of me to munch on.

Without wasting any more time, I headed over to my sister’s house around 5 pm. It took me almost 45 minutes to reach her place. Me and my sister started working on the decor right away.

I then started preparing ingredients for lemon tart and fresh jelly. When the tart and jelly was ready, I kept it in the freezer to let it chill. But we were not done yet. The next thing I had to do was bake some pizzas.

My sister already made the dough and had everything ready. All i had to do was to shape the dough, lace it with all the ingredients and that's it. She on the other hand, made dahi bhallay. Luckily my darling niece helped herself and got ready all by herself.

The cake arrived at 7 pm and we were ready to blow off the candles. Not us, my niece of course :D

Now you must be wondering about all these preparations and no one at the party. Well Due to corona, no kids were invited but my sister’s in-laws were there. I was the only exception who came from outside. We made sure to take SOPS seriously.

After the celebration, luckily my sister’s in-laws were there to clean up with us and we got it done quickly. I stayed at my sister’s place for the night and came back home next morning.

This was one of the beautiful days of my life that I cherished and enjoyed. I feel grateful for having my loved ones around me. I hope you have enjoyed this post of mine and i will meet you guys in the next.
