GREEN COMPUTING:

Green computing refers to eco-friendly use of computers and their resources ,it means to reduce environmental waste while using computers . It refers to the study of developing ,designing, engineering, producing , manufacturing, using and disposing of computing devices and module to reduces their environmental impact that's why it is also named as green information technology (Green IT)

Why do we need green computing in our environment?

Almost every person has more than one computing device and there are billions of computing device in our world. It is difficult to design efficient energy consuming computers that's why green computing has been introduced . Its responsible keep our environment clean and safe by recycling waste products . We all need to implement green computing as we all have to make our own share in protecting the environment .

Main Activities:

1. Purchasing Green energy

2. Minimization in energy consumption

3. Green material

(reducing paper and other consumable usage)

4. Electronic waste

( reducing travel requirements of clients as well as employees)

5. Recycling

( reducing equipment disposal requirements)

1. Green use
Reducing power usage of PCs by lowering heat dispersal which not only increases system security but also saves electricity. Virtualization is the method that can be used to get rid of energy hungry and expensive equipments.

2. Green Disposal
It leads to recycling and reusing old PCs and electronic devices. It is done by updating Old hardware to maintain capacity that results in lowering costs for the businesses and organisations.

3. Green Design
It refers to the production of a system that have minimal impact on environment with reliability. It is also called eco-friendly design that saves power and runs PCs cooler which extends its life

4. Green manufacturing
It is a process that consumes less energy for the production and create less production waste.

Here are some methods that you can easily implement on your device and can make your share towards environment

• You can save energy of your mobile, tablets or computer by using a black screen on google searches.

• If you're looking for electronic device ,I reccomend you to buy "Energy Star" labeled monitors, desktops, laptops, and printers.

• Always put your laptops in "sleep mode" when not in use.

• Its better to turn OFF computers and other equipment when not in use, but if you can't just put them in sleep mode.
