RAB arrested a yaba trader named Abdul Matin (60) along with 19 thousand 500 pieces of yaba in Feni.

Yaba were seized from a truck in Feni Fatehpur area of Dhaka-Chittagong highway on Saturday (January 15) afternoon.

The detained Abdul Matin is the son of deceased Fazlul Karim Master of West Chagalnaya area of Chagalnaya upazila of Feni.

According to RAB, based on secret information, RAB members set up a special check post on the paved road in Fatehpur of Fenir on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway. A truck bound for Dhaka from Chittagong was signaled to stop if suspected. However, the truck tried to flee without stopping in front of the RAB check post. RAB members were able to chase and arrest the drug dealer along with the car. Later, 19,500 pieces of Yaba were seized under the driving seat of the truck. The estimated value of seized drugs is 60 lakhs.

RAB-7 Feni Camp Deputy Director Abdullah Al Jaber Imran confirmed this information.

He said that the seized drug along with the detained person has been sent to Feni Model Police Station for further legal action.
