Today is a glorious day for the people of West Bengal and all the Bengali language users including Bangladesh. It is being celebrated as Martyr's Day and International, Mother Language Day. This day is celebrated as a public holiday in our country, to pay homage to the martyrs with flowers. That is why the day has been marked among us even today as a day full of glorious and glorious memories of the language movement of the Bengali people. Today we got an independent country in exchange for their blood. On this day in 1972 (Thursday, 8th Falgun, 1358), many young women were martyred in the police firing on the students who were protesting against the demand for Bengali as one of the state languages of East Pakistan. One of them is Salam, Barkat, Rafiq, Jabbar, Shafiul and many other young people. We are still saddened by their death. That is why this day has been marked as Martyr's Day and is still with us today. In accordance with the decision taken by the United Nations on August 5, 2010, this day is being celebrated in our country, every year on the 21st of February as the International Mother Language Day. The blood marks of our martyrs are still attached to our beautiful Samal nature river Nala khal pond. Which will remain in the hearts of all of us forever.
