Long Term Ethereum Staking And Holding

Ethereum is a coin I always think of holding for the long term as it is one of the most popular alt coins and is usually the coin that signals if alt coin season is going to start or if we should brace ourselves for an alt coin winter. The market usually goes in a line of high cap coins down to small cap coins and after Bitcoin goes up, Ethereum is usually the one to follow and it is usually the one that goes up before the other alt coins rally.

This is a coin that I always thought about holding when I don't want to spend too much time looking at cryptocurrency charts or trends. The only issue was that you did not see a return of dividends for it but with swaps and staking being enabled that means you can earn a return on Ethereum plus have a chance for it to go up in value if cryptocurrency goes up in the markets.

Staking

With the new update we will have Eth staking. You will need 32 coins to stake, which is a good amount of change. I was always a fan of staking as all you have to do is set it and forget it and can move on to other things while you collect a passive income. This was an option at one point I was considering and might still buy and hold ethereum if the money comes from the coins I have and leave it in an account that is generating interest.

A Lot Of Dapps

Right now I don't use a lot of ethereum dapps as I'm on other blockchains. But there are so many games and sites being worked on that I really need to get my metamask ready to start trying them out. There are so many coming that look to be of a really high quality. Games like Lost Relics could be a game changer in the wolrd of blockchain gaming and I am looking forward to playing it when gas fees get sorted for trading items.

Even if I do not buy any more ethereum I do plan on trying out a lot of dapps and maybe find one where I can really earn-to-play which could lead to a steady flow of ethereum over time. It is too early to see if that is going to happen but I do think there is a good chance one of these dapps takes off.

I do not know if I will be buying any more crypto in the near future as money is pretty tight. I want to start seeing returns for the coins that I have as my bags are pretty full. But if the market does turn I might come back to buy some ethereum after I cash out if ethereum sees a big dip.
