Les dejo en esta ventana algunas fotografías, acompañadas por textos poéticos muy breves, que realicé recientemente en las claras y apacibles márgenes del río Manzanares y del parque Guaiquerí -donde los árboles centenarios se levantan como magníficos gigantes-, en la ciudad de Cumaná, estado Sucre, Venezuela.

I leave you in this window some photographs, accompanied by very brief poetic texts, that I recently took in the clear and peaceful banks of the Manzanares River and the Guaiquerí Park -where the centennial trees stand like magnificent giants-, in the city of Cumaná, Sucre State, Venezuela.

Walk along the banks of the Manzanares River

Con su largo vestido
ocre, entre verdes,
discurre el río.

With her long dress
ochre, among greens,
the river flows.

Luz de verano,
en la senda perenne
de primavera.

Summer light,
on the perennial path
of spring.

Animal de energía.
Con sus cantos el sol
nos ilumina.

Animal of energy.
With its songs the sun
illuminates us.

Sediento de andar,
el viento se inclina
a beber agua.

Thirsty for the street,
the wind bends down
to drink water.
