Good day ladies and gentlemen! Greetings and well wishes from me to all of you.

Today, I am going to share with you all another recipe that you will all love. A dish that is healthy and tasty specially when shared with love ones.

Sweet and Sour fish is a very known dish specially here in the Philippines. We prepare this during birthdays, fiestas and all other special occassion for our friends and families who does not like to have pork or chicken.

Ingredients:

  • 4 pieces medium sized fish
  • Tomato
  • Carrots
  • Onion
  • Red bell pepper
  • Ginger
  • Oil
  • Vinegar
  • Knorr fish cube
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Cornstarch
  • Pine apple tidbits

The cooking procedure is just easy. Are you ready?

Cooking Procedure:

Step 1: Season the fish with salt and prepare it for frying. For this fish size, frying takes 6-8 minutes to cook both sides of it.

Let us now get ready to make our sweet and sour sauce.

Step 2: Slice the other ingredients accordingly, heat the pan and add some oil.

Step 3: Saute' the onion, ginger, tomato, red bell pepper and carrots. It is the tomato which will give the sauce an enticing reddish/pinkish color.

Step 4: Add 1/2 cup vinegar, 3 tablespoon sugar, pineapple juice, 1 tablespoon salt, 1/2 fish cube.

Step 5: Simmer it for 5 minutes, add 1 glass of water then add the pineapple from the pouch.

Step 6: Dissolve 3/4 tablespoon of constarch into 1/4 cup of water and add it into our sauce. The cornstarch is used as the sauce's thickening agent.

Step 7: Simmer for 2-3 minutes then our sauce is ready.

Just add the sauce into the fried fish and it is then ready to serve.
