How to Add a Bot to Your Discord Server #2

Welcome back, developers.

Greetings to all Steem enthusiasts! During our first lecture, we established the necessary environment for developing a Python-based Discord bot. Today, our focus will be on generating the bot's token and inviting it to our Discord server.

  • Set the name of your discord bot, You can also change it later, and click on Create.

  • Now open the Bot section and enable these intents showing in the screenshot and click on Save Changes at the end.

  • We need to save the bot token, we need to generate a new token. Click on Reset Token and complete the 2auth verification if it asks and then copy the bot token locally.

  • Now we need to generate the invite link for the bot to add to our server. Open OAuth2 section and then open URL Generator. Enable the bot in SCOPES as shown here.

  • Now enable all these permissions and Copy the URL.

  • Open the URL in your browser and select your server to add the bot and click on Continue. Authorize all the permission and Click on 8Authorize*. The bot will appear on your server immediately.

Here we get the bot in our server successfully.
