[Poem] The Duality of Man

A paradox, a puzzle, a walking contradiction,
Mankind, a canvas painted with both light and fiction.

Eyes that seek the heavens, a heart that craves the ground,
Building empires, empires crashing to the ground.

Capable of kindness, a gentle, loving touch,
Yet capable of fury, leaving scars so much.

We dream of a tomorrow, a future bright and grand,
But sow the seeds of conflict, a weapon in each hand.

We yearn to understand, to find a common ground,
Yet walls of prejudice, our voices rarely found.

Oh, humanity, a complex, wondrous thing,
A symphony of discord, where angels try to sing.
