Trousers are one of the most essential clothing a human can have, it is sometimes called pants especially in the US. Why I like them actually is because it is quite comfortable.
Some folks do not find it comfortable because they usually go for tight pants, which is not free and it is difficult to wear, especially the pulling off aspect.
There are religions that frown at the use of trousers, and this has caused quite a lot of confusion and even division amongst people. Maybe that's why the prompt is taking this direction.
But the truth is that, one needs to wear what is convenient for him or her.
