The Memoirs Of Agent Matthew: Part 1 | 5-Minute Freewrite | Prompt: Eye Witness

This is my 5-minute freewrite for @mariannewest, prompted by this post.
The prompt inspired me to write this, but I forgot to actually include it.

A dark figure walked down the street, the slight drizzle pouring of the building tops. The street lights above filled the air with a yellow light. A lady in a black peacoat walked down the street, going the opposite direction of the figure.

With a quick move, he pulled out a black revolver and pointed it toward her. The lady screamed , piercing the night. She cried, "Please, Agent Matthew! Help me!" Yet another four more figures walked out of the shadows. They all had guns out too. The man in the front said, "Lady, we don't want no trouble, just give all your cash."

"I won't!" she cried, "Agent Matthew!"

Agent Matthew repeled from the top of a building to the ground on a rope. He landed right between the lady and the gang. "Now boys", he said, "don't go picking a fight."

The lead gangster held his gun up to fire, but Matthew grabbed it with a deft movement, dumped the bullets out, then sucker punched the man in the face. The gang was shocked, and they scampered off back into the shadows.

He turned to the lady, who said, "Thank you, Agent Matthew, how could I ever repay you?"

"I don't need payment, ma'am. Just doing what I can." And with that, he grabbed the rope and hoisted himself up and out of sight.

The lady cried out one last time, "Thank you, Agent Matthew!"
