On this occasion I want to make a post about rice-eating birds that are very disturbing to the community, especially for farmers who have rice fields and rice that is starting to harvest. Because the bird is included in the category of pests for farmers who have rice fields, especially at the time of harvest. Where when I was controlling the rice I saw a chick that was flying in front of me after I immediately caught it. Just to take some photos that aim to get a closer look at the condition of the rice-eating birds.

This time I also want to review a little about rice-eating birds. Another thing that is quite disturbing about the sparrows is that they will eat rice plants in groups from morning to evening. Therefore, sparrows are one of the pests that are quite worrying. There are several methods commonly used by farmers to control these young rice-eating pests, see the following review.

Usually, rice planted not according to the rice planting schedule is more susceptible to bird pests. This is because when it is not harvest season, it is more difficult for birds to get food, so rice grown outside the season is one of the biggest sources of food for them.

Based on the experience of farmers, generally, rice harvested at the end of March to April in the rendeng planting season and harvesting in September in the gadu season is relatively less than bird pests. So that farmers should plant rice simultaneously and adjust the harvest period in that month.

In general, sparrows do not like flashy colors, such as yellow. Therefore, farmers can ward off this pest attack by planting sunflowers or chicken dung flowers. These flowers can be planted in the rice fields as a barrier (border). That way, birds will be reluctant to approach the rice plant.

Usually, farmers plug wood every 5 meters or according to site conditions. The wood will be tied with shiny plastic which will reflect the incoming sunlight. Unfortunately, this method has a weakness, namely when the weather is cloudy, in the morning, and in the evening the plastic cannot reflect sunlight.
