No, it wasn’t a test. 😊
After such a long time, I simply felt like writing again. Many things have changed here, and perhaps I have changed too.
I started again with a very simple question: Why Do I Write? Maybe because I’m looking for a new answer myself.
I posted in the old Freewriters because it was the place I remembered. Only afterwards did I discover that you had all moved here.
I’ll try to explore the Steemit network again, discover what it has become, and encounter thoughts and people I don’t know yet. I’m looking for new answers — and probably new questions too.
But I have to confess something: I was hoping you would comment. I’ve always found your thoughts stimulating and constructive, even when they made me look at things from a different perspective.
So, since you’re here, let me return to the question that started all this: why do you write?
By now I write out of a habit, because I started something and as you can notice I paint more than I write. Hardly any stories I post these days (read: months). Who knows I'll give up on this platform and just keep the server running to support all users.
It’s curious: I came back because I felt the desire to write again, while you, who stayed, tell me that now you mostly write out of habit.
But perhaps you never really stopped telling stories. You simply changed language: your paintings are as beautiful as your words.
Is it writing that no longer calls you the way it used to, or is it this place that no longer gives you the same reasons to write?
This place for sure changed it is mainly focused on gaming, greed and badly written diaries. It hard for me to write stories unless I speak them.
I don't believe this place appreciates good writers,story and art.
