TRIAL & ERROR- New drawing method on paper I can't trust!

Hi Fellow Dearest Steemians, specially to those who love arts, and member of this community, and to all who reached this post. How are you today? Hope everyone is doing great unlike me I'm not feeling well since yesterday, but I fell better today.

For this First content of mine as a certified member of #steemitphilippines community, I want to share my freshly done artwork. I done this artwork yesterday. I made this for 2 days (half each day). On this artwork, I tried new art paper and tried new method which I 1st time to try.

I used vellum board for the first time, I usually used canson paper. I used pure graphite pencil, i usually used mix graphite and charcoal powder and brushes. And to make it more exciting and challenging-- I used 2 pencils only. (but the Truth is- tinatamad lang talaga ako gumamit ng marami hahah)

So before I started my TRIAL AND ERROR artwork, I watched video tutorials on YouTube for some ideas on how to do it right, and I'm happy to the result, it's not that bad hahah.

The one I draw here is one of those who appreciates my artworks. 3 months ago , I ask her to send me a picture of her eyes--- favorite part I always love to draw. She sent me a whole face picture of her wearing facemask. I cropped it which made the picture resolution low, so it became a little bit blurry., but i still tried to draw it.

Let me show you the process:

Artmats used:
Vellum board
faber castle 2b, 8b pencil
cotton buds
eraser
Ruler

First, using the ruler and pencil 2b(it can be any ordinary pencil) I put grid the paper for better accuracy (half inch grid)

Second, I draw the sketch/light outlines-- I always start on the eyes.

Third, Detailing time.

And finally Done!

I already posted it on my Facebook account, and not yet been noticed by the girl whom I draw. Maybe she can't recognized her face, di siguro mamukhaan haha, well anyways I enjoy the process and I really need more and more practice, because practice makes .....improvement!
