Hey everyone today i want to write an article on the national festival of my country, India which is our contest topic which organised by Steem For Bangladesh Community. Their is majorly two national festivals of India , each celebrating a super important moment in its history.

Independence Day (August 15th):

This is the big one, like the actual birthday. It's when India finally got to be its freedom in 1947 from British rule after 200 years of slavery. People raise national flags everywhere, listen to patriotic speeches that get you all fired up, and enjoy awesome cultural shows. On this special occasion Indian army perform parades on India gate, flag hosting is done , fireworks display, and the army persons get medal for their bravery and extraordinary efforts to save the country.

Republic Day (January 26th):

Celebrating Republic Day

It celebrates the day India adopted its constitution in 1950, basically the rulebook for the country. Massive parade is done at kartavya path which shows the rich cultural heritage and militaries power. Every year a chief guest is invited from different countries and Flag hosting is done followed by national anthem. This year a special thing is done on republic day the special models were prepared to show the art and culture of India.

There aren't any strict rules, but it is usually celebrate by

Raising the tricolor flag:It's basically India's superhero cape, everyone displays it with pride.

Partying with cultural shows:Get ready for amazing dances, music, and plays that shows the India's rich heritage.

Sweet treats:Every region has its favourites, but ladoos and jalebis, are the most loved and common one.

Independence day celebration in my office

You don't need a special outfit, but people tend to wear their best clothes, sometimes with colors that match the Indian flag. Some put the badges of national flag on clothes. This shows the love and respect for our country .

Now let me tell you some of my memories of Independence Day. As a kid litrally for me independence day and republic day are same because they all are celebrated with same program and event in school , that day, I used to get ready early in the morning, wearing a shiny white dress and a national flag badge, and reach school early and wait for the event to get over and we would get a packet of snacks which would include tasty Motichur laddoos and a samosa. All in all its all about proud to be Indian, and celebrate how awesome their country is.

I invite my friends @pathanapsana, @jyoti-thelight, @pea07, @dove11 to join this nice contest.

Thanks for visiting on my post @kouba01 ,
The celebration of independence is of utmost importance for a citizen. I believe that the freedom our country has gained from slavery and the hard work of the martyrs who sacrificed for that freedom should never be forgotten because our country comes first.
