Achievement 3 by @izraelinspired Task : Content Etiquette
"If you plagiarize others' techniques, you steel their emotions and tell your spectators a lie with your work. Works as such equal zero" -Wu Guan-Zhong source
What Is Plagiarism
In one sentence, the word plagiarism simply means copy and pasting, or the use of another persons content, making it look as if the work was yours, without proper citation of the owner.
Plagiarism can be in different form, some people might try to play smart by changing the part of the work or substitute words with synonyms. This doesn't change a thing at all, it is still plagiarism.
Whenever you want to use a content that is not yours, you can simply cite the work by putting a link to the original work, example: source . I know some of you might be thinking that if I use citation on my content it will make my work look unoriginal, well this is not entirely true, instead this will add more value to readers because the part you copied out from a content might not be a full idea, but when you put a link that leads to the original content it will be of more help to your readers.
How can I Check for Plagiarism?
Checking plagiarism is very easy. There are plenty of paid and free online plagiarism tools that can help you to check if there is an instance of plagiarism in your work or not. But, Copyleaks does this work in the best way. You need to upload your work to the plagiarism detector. The tool will find out the percentage of plagiarism, and it will also identify the plagiarized content for you. source
With its sophisticated technology, you can detect plagiarism in real-time and at a superfast speed. Try it yourself! - copyleaks.com or you can use this instead grammarly.com
...
And that's it on plagiarism.
So when next you what to use another person's work, don't forget to use proper citation as explained above 😊.
