Good day fellow steemians. Hope everyone is fine, am here to let you know that I have achieved my post in achievement one and now wish to achieve my achievement two. My achievement two is about basic security and its functions.

Account security is the way of protecting steemit account and preventing bad people from unauthorized access to our password.

Have u retrieve all your steemit keys?

Yes, I have received it as pdf on my documents and I kept it safe by storing it on my Google drive and lamenting it.

Do you know all the steemit security codes and their functions?

Yes, these are the steemit security keys

Posting key
Owners key
Public key
Active key
Memo key
Master password.

Below are the functions of each of the steemit security keys.

Posting key, it is used to log in to our steemit account in combination with our use name. It also facilitate us to perform social functions such as commenting , voting and sharing etc. This key is very essential for your daily activities on steemit.

Owners key, this key is very crucial in retrieving your account if compromised, this key helps you to retrieve it within thirty days. This key is very important and I think is always advisable to have a hardcopy rather than softcopy.

Public keys, these keys are not required for log in, these are keys are used to encrypt and verify massage and are also associated with username.

Active key: this key is used to perform monetary functions or wallets actions, some of these actions include transfers of tokens, steem powering etc.
Memo key, this key is also not required for log in but rather used to decrypt private transfer Memo.

Master key, this key I believe is the most important key among the rest, because this key is used to generate the rest of the keys. Hence it is very essential for you to keep it safe.

HOW TO POWER UP

Power up is the act where by you convert the steem that you get from posting on the platform to steem power. This helps you to improve your power on the platform.

THESE ARE THE STEPS REQUIRED

1 . Firstly, tap the wallet icon on the top corner of the page, it will take u to next page.

2 . Tap on the small allow beside your steem, a pop up menu will appear.

After the pop up menu has appeared select power up, another page will appear.

3 . At this page, enter the amount of steem you want to power up, then u tap on power up next page will appear.

4 . This is the last step, enter the required key and tap on the sign in, then your done.

HOW TO TRANSFER YOUR STEEM.

Steem transfer is the act of transferring your steem to another steemit account.

THESE ARE THE REQUIRED STEPS

Step 1. Tap on the wallet on the top corner of the page

Step 2. Tap on the icon beside your steem, a pop up menu will appear.

Step 3. Select transfer, another page will appear.

Step 4. Type the user name of the account you want to send to and add the amount, then click on next.

Step 5. Tap on ok to comfirm the transfer.

Step 6. Enter your username and password then sign in.

These are some of the basic activities that you can perform with your wallet and steem.
