World's best city: Cape Town, South Africa! TOP 5 places that is a MUST to visit in and around the city!

I honestly think I am in love!

Surrounded by one of the Seven Natural Wonders of World, Table Mountain, the Cape Town has a European vibe due to the coastline and its British and Dutch colonial influence. I like to call it Europe with an African flavor!

The first and probably one of the most popular places to visit is for tourist is Table Mountain. It gets it name from the fact that its surface looks flat like that of a table. It is also more than 1000 m above sea level and you can either reach the top via cable car or by hiking. As soon as you have reached the top you'll have a 360 degree view of the city and the entire Atlantic Seaboard, the city and it's surroundings.

Number two it Robbin Island. The island is just off the coast of Cape Town. It is especially famous because of the fact that Nelson Mandela was imprisoned there by the Apartheid government for his fight against the oppressive system! Today the prison is a museum for tourists to visit with a guided tour. The island can be reached by boat.

Number 3 is for those who like to party. Long Street is the place for you. It comprises of various pubs and bars in old colonial buildings that have been renovated and refurbished.

Number 4 must be Camps Bay and Clifton. These suburbs are known for being the places where the elite of South Africa and others from around the world either live or own expensive property with one of the most expensive properties coming in at around R210 million ($15 million). They also boast superb blue flag beaches with white sea sand and see through blue waters! If you look carefully you might just spot some sort of celebrity too.

Coming in at number 5, and no it's definitely not the least, is the Cape Wine lands where some of the most popular wines in the world are produced. There you can choose between a number of wine farms to take a tour of or taste and pair wines with some delicious food or chocolate.

These are just some of the highlights for me but there is obviously much more to see like Cape Point, the most southern Point in Africa, the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, the Sea Point Promenade, Boulders Penguin Beach, The Castle of Good Hope, Green Market Square and many more!
