With the growth of Cryptocurrencies, and the way prices are looking good right now, it is safe to say we will see more scammers trying to rob you of your hard earned funds. These guys are smart and are always looking for lapses to be able to get in and do away with your money. So let's look at some ways to ensure maximum security for your wallets and ensure that you do not lose any of your assets.

First, learn to spread your currencies across various wallets. Personally, I would recommend that you use two or three (at most) digital wallets to store your currencies. You should have a wallet for trading from which you can easily send Cryptos to the exchanges and maybe one or two more for simply storing and HODLING your savings. Always remember to please keep your private keys and/or pneumonic or seed phrase in a very secure place, most preferably offline and written somehere. Remember to protect your asset, no measure is extreme.

Second, try as much as possible to not log into your wallet with a public Wi-Fi. Avoid using public Wi-Fi like the plague, they are notorious for being used to hack into people's phones, and even if they are not used for hacks they carry a lot of viruses. Also, do your best to set up notifications for monitoring the wallet. This is so that in case someone hacks it and wants to send out your money, you are notified either through email or through SMS. From there you can block it or safeguard it better.

Next, always double and even maybe triple check the address you are sending to (especially if it's a large amount). Some would advise that you first send a smaller payment to the address to verify. Personally though, I just double check with my eyes, to be sure they correspond. There are numerous stories, infact I watched a video once of how to swap another person's address and input yours and the transaction comes to you.

Lastly, as a security measure also please enable the 2-factor authentication. It is a second authentication apart from maybe the password to be sure you are the one making the transaction. An OTP might be sent to your phone or email, or it might ask for biometric identification to validate the transaction.
