I made the move to hive!

I’m excited to create new content here and a platform that does not act foolish or try and censor Us. I don’t post very often, but I do enjoy reading and posting when I can. I thoroughly enjoy taking photographs of whatever excites me, and hopefully those around me enjoy the photos and stories that they tell. Enough about that, let me get to the post already! Ha ha Ha ha ha.

I happened across a collection of insects in bedded in plastic resin. I have kept them and most recently had to dust off the shelf I needed to move them to another place. I took a few photos of them to share with you. They did not come with labels, so I’m not sure exactly what they all are and you probably don’t give a crap anyhow.

Here we have a very large beetle with very large mandibles but very tiny antennae.

In these next two photos you’ll see how these insects are in blocks of resin. Sort of frozen in time. Part of me hopes they weren’t encapsulated while still alive, but I’m guessing no since their movement may disturb the resin from drying correctly. The first one is a field cricket that I know!

Look at those crazy mandible jaws of death! Ha ha Ha. If I was really really tiny I would hate to come across this guy and have him cut me in half or lock me in his jaws of death. Pretty cool beetle!

I’ve got some other useless weird crap hanging around as well. I had some potpourri mix that contained pinecones and other miscellaneous crap. It stop smelling a while ago and I don’t know why I haven’t thrown it out but in the trash it goes today. Just before I toss it why not take a black-and-white picture of it!?.
