Here is what you will need to prepare these delicacies:
pork neck steaks, about 1 kg, marinated in oil, salt, black and red pepper for at least 3 days
4 hamburger buns
4 slices of cherry tomato
4 thin slices of grilled bacon
4 slices of Emmental Swiss cheese
Heinz ketchup
Hellmann's Mayonnaise
Gherkin pickles
Sausage (90% meat), pork neck steaks and Camembert in foil (optional)
And here's how to cook
Begin by preparing the pork neck steak. Marinate it in a mixture of oil, salt, black and red pepper, letting the flavors penetrate well into the meat. Then let the steak come to room temperature before grilling. Heat your grill or charcoal grill to medium heat, around 180°C (350°F). While the grill is heating up, start preparing the rest of the ingredients. Thinly slice the cherry tomatoes, gherkins and bacon. Cut the Emmental Swiss cheese into thin slices. Spread both sides of each bun with Heinz ketchup and Hellmann's mayonnaise. Arrange the cherry tomato slices on one half of each bun, followed by the thin slices of bacon.
Place the cooked and grilled pork neck fillet on top of the bacon so that half of the steak is outside the bun. This will help keep the cheese inside the burger when flipped.
Place the burger buns on the preheated grill and grill for about 5 minutes, or until the crusts are golden brown and the cheese is starting to melt. Carefully flip each burger using a spatula to cook the other side. Bake for another 5 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is completely melted. Remove the finished burgers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. If you like, you can also grill sausage, pork neck steaks and Camembert in foil.
Serve the pork neck steak burgers with a side of your favorite salad or potatoes and enjoy a delicious lunch with friends in the sunny spring yard!
