Watermelon is rich in Vitamin C and it will solve your thirst for a while
You can grow watermelon in your backyard during summer. It will bring around 3 to 5 fruits that has an average size of one to five kilograms depending in water availability surrounding its roots. Farmers are raking enough profit in their production of watermelons because nowadays large varieties are available which grow as much as 15 kilograms.

Wow!! Good agronomically information on Water Melon.
But besides WATER availability, what are the other necessary SOIL and CLIMATIC conditions necessary for robust Water Melon production in the tropics ??
It is a summer plant like pumpkin, they need a lot of water and sunlight to sustain the growth of size of their fruits. This is the reason why no till farms harvest bigger watermelons because their soil has earthworms holes that penetrates by the watermelon roots otherwise you need to plough your soil deeper or use an irrigation dip plus the plastic mulch that traps the moisture beneath.
