Hello again! It’s been a couple of busy weeks, but I’m back. This will be the 4th part, and last, of this travel blog about London for now. It’s time to move on to another city and country, but we will be back after 3 more cites, I think.

Also, this is my first post on Travelfeed.io. If you have some tips, I would really appreciated it.

Now I’m going to share more cool stuff we did in London. I’m not going to enter in a lot of detail, because it’s a lot and I don’t want to bore you. So, let’s get started!

Pad Thai at Borough Market

After our visit to Windsor Castle, we went back to London because we had a reservation to The Shard, the tallest building in UK. But first we had to eat something, so we went to the Borough Market. In my opinion this is one of the best places to have a bite in London, the downside is that it’s always packed with lots of people. But food is amazing. We had this great Pad Thai and then went to the Shard.

The Shard is a 72-story building with more than 300 meters high. And I really like this kind of observatories, I’ve been to a lot in other cities and I find this one a little dull. It was included in the London Pass, so we didn’t technically payed for it, but I was kind of disappointed. The views are cool, but I enjoyed more other observatories in London, like the one in St Paul’s Cathedral or the Sky Garden (which is free, kind of…).

We descended the building and head to the Thames to walk by rest a little in the hotel. Then we took a night tour in the city and went up again in the Sky Garden, a great space in the top of The Fenchurch Building, known as The Walkie-Talkie. This observatory is free, buy you need to make a reservation in their website. You can just ask to enter the garden or make a reservation in a bar o restaurant.

We made a reservation for the Bar and they let you stay for one hour or an hour and a half (can’t remember) and it was really packed, without the reservation it would be impossible to get a table. And the place is really cool, you can hang around the garden and the views are incredible. At the back you got a lot of buildings that are really close and made the view very special. Food and drinks are expensive (you are in London), but Ok.

The next day we went early to the Tower of London. A good tip is you arrive early is to go immediately to see the Crown Jewels, is a short exhibit but by the time we were exiting the tower, the line was really, really big. This museum it’s a must of the city, but I can’t deny that The Windsor Castle is way cooler.

Then a couple of blocks away you will find St Dunstan in the East Church Garden. It was a church that was destroyed and repaired many times, but after the German bombings of 1941, it was decided not to rebuild. And in 1971 it opened as a public garden. It’s a really cool place to take some pictures. It is kind of hidden, but it is part of many tourist walking tours. We saw at least 4 groups in less than an hour.

Then we walked a little more and end up in Leadenhall Market. It was almost empty, but we found a place to eat.

Finally, we went to grab our bags and went to the airport.

Can you guess our next destination with this picture? It’s a easy one.

See you soon. Eduardo from @elteamgordo.

Saludos!!
