In the context of the construction of Nathula Pass, it is known that in December 1893, the Sikkimese monarchy and the Tibetan rulers signed an agreement to increase trade between the two countries. The treaty ended in 1894 when the trade pass was introduced. Nathula is one of the three trade borders between India and China.

The other two are located in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh respectively. Although the Nathula Pass was closed during the Indo-China border war in 1962, the Nathula Pass was reopened in 2006 to cater to the growing trade on the Indo-China border, as well as for the convenience of Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. This is the way many travelers go to Manas Sarovar in Tibet. Recently, news of tensions on the Indo-China border was coming to my ears, so I posted some pictures of Nathula Pass to find some old memories. Photography is prohibited at the very top of Nathula Pass. We sang the national anthem there for the sacrifice and heroism of our Indian Army.
