Snowshoes to Kikhaugen.
Stories from the north. 16. May 2021.
The first hike this year to Kikhaugen located up in the mountain where I live. It is located around 4 km and 600 meters above the sea level. It is still lots of snow on higher ground. We used snowshoes from around 100 meters and up to the goal.
On the way up. Kikhaugen is the viewpoint to the left in the picture.
The first on top.
On the top there is a box with a book people can sign when they visiting Kikhaugen. One person had visited the viewpoint before us so far.
As we had a brake for around 30 minutes it was 6 avalanches in the mountain. A sign of spring. You can see one of them in the middle of the picture.
Great exercise up and an easy ride downhills.

that is very true,with this steemit,we can go around the world even if only in photos.but it's very good,and we can communicate directly with people from different continents,like me and you @harkar.

I think year around without snow have to be nice. No cold, showeling and slippery roads😊. But I also like the shifting and different times of the year 🌨☀️😂
Nice to have an overview from such height, fjord looks so far down.
