Pencil drawing. Groot

Hi all! Today I drew one of the most unusual Marvel characters - Groot!

That's how it was
I started with a sketchy drawing that outlined its future forms and a line in the middle.
So far this doesn't look like Groot at all, but be patient. He will soon come to life.

Next, I erased most of the sketchy lines and gave it the necessary shape. I drew pupils, hands and branches on the head. He also tweaked his smile and the flower pot he lives in.

And now we have very little left. I'm already at the penultimate stage. Here I added lines on it to make it look more like a tree, painted its eyes (It's amazing how asking for eyes improves his appearance) and tweaked a few things.

At the last stage, I corrected the flaws and inaccuracies, made his lines more clear and beautiful, erased everything unnecessary, signed the drawing and finally fixed his flower pot! And this is what I got:
