Creating Short Story Week #32 || Emilia the Music player || by @predomina

Fellow steemians, I'm glad that you all are reading through my post today. Today's article is about creating a short story and we are currently in week number 32. I do hope you enjoy the story I'm about to share with you all. Let's start.

This is the story of Emilia, who is a music player in the faraway town of Ijebu. Emilia is a talented musician who was born to a single mother. She suffered and toil so had to ensure she gives her daughter the best education and also ensure she gets whatever she likes that will make her grow well. She is her mother's favourite.

One day something terrible happened in the land of Ijebu, and they needed the head of seven virgins to appease the gods. As Emilia was coming back from her music class that evening, she was captured alongside other girls. They were all taken into a confined room and locked up. They kept them for the sacrifice which is supposed to take place at midnight on that very day.

The entire ladies were crying and the guards around told them instead of crying, let them start saying their final prayers. Hearing this, Emilia knew that the end has come for her and she said to herself instead of crying let her sing a song to her mother who has given her all she needed in life. She brought out her musical instrument and started playing it.

As she played it, everywhere became so calm and the girls and guards all listen to her as she sing. When the elders came around when the time for the sacrifice came, they also heard the rhythm of the song and decided to listen to it too. They all paid attention to the music and the message Emilia was passing from the music she was singing.

Before they could realize it, the time for the sacrifice has long gone and they couldn't do it any longer on that day, they have to shift the sacrifice again to the next day and they came around the night of the next day but more melodious music was sung by Emilia and this time they all fell asleep and Emilia gently woke all the girls and then they escape from that place. This is how the music of Emilia was able to save them from the hands of the killers.
