WOX TRAVEL CONTEST - Our Trip to Hallstatt

139.jpg

Hello friends. Recently, we visited Hallstatt for a vacation with friends. We had been dreaming of going there for a long time. It's a beautiful town around a lake in Austria. As soon as we arrived, we settled into our hotel. The view from our hotel was amazing. We could sip our coffees while looking at the mountains.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights and explored the beautiful surroundings around the lake. People are using robots more often now. Even in the garden of our hotel, there was a robot mowing the lawn. It was very interesting, wandering around the garden and cutting the grass.

If you're planning a trip to Hallstatt, keep in mind that finding parking is very difficult. All spots are usually filled up early in the morning. We found some empty spaces almost at the farthest parking lot. There were only 10 empty spots here, and shortly after we parked, we saw that there were no more available spots. Parking costs 4 euros per hour, but 10 euros for the whole day.

We visited the famous Hallstatt Lake, which I had been wanting to see for a long time. The mountains, the lake, and the small town were incredibly beautiful. Experiencing spring in Hallstatt was very enjoyable.

We wandered around some shops. There were interesting bags for sale with provincial landscapes, priced around seven euros. I liked a beautiful velvet cosmetic bag, and there were wonderful wallets. Traditional clothes were being sold on the side; a dress was 39 euros.

Then we passed by the town's police station. It looked like a hotel. It was a very cute police station; I thought it was the prettiest one I've seen. I guess prices here are above average, but everything is packed. Of course, everyone wants to have lunch with this beautiful view. There was an incredible crowd of tourists here, and we saw many people speaking different languages.

Along the tourist path, there was a sign we encountered. It showed how far the water had come in different years. Currently, it's two hundred meters ahead from this tourist trail. There is heavy traffic in Hallstatt; it's really hard for a taxi driver to pass through here.

We headed towards the center of Hallstatt. And we visited the church that is featured in all postcards sent from Hallstatt. The houses seemed to be competing with each other for which one was better decorated. They're probably all hotels. This is a very popular spot; everyone was stopping to take pictures of the waterfall.

Church, lake, and mountains are so beautiful. People forget their bags while watching the magnificent view. There was a warning here for people to be careful. We found a hidden entrance and went up with it, looked at the church standing on top of the hill and the lake. There was an interesting transition here, even the windows and glasses were interesting.

Finally, we visited the famous church. How ancient the frescoes at the entrance look! They built the church on the rocks in the 12th century. The old church is located on a hill overlooking the mountains and the lake. The church on the hill offers a magnificent view of Hallstatt Lake and the snow-capped peaks of the mountains, with tourists walking below. Definitely the best spot. The weather was warm, but there was still snow on the mountain tops. Also, it is possible to explore here by boat or catamaran, costing 15 euros per hour.

At the entrance to the church, we found a notebook where everyone wrote their wishes. Here, you light your own candle and leave a euro.

What a beautiful Gothic church, we were completely alone here. The icons and stained glass were very impressive.

We came across a wooden structure that resembled a normal rural toilet, but when we opened it, we saw that it was a free library. There were different interesting books here. For example, we came across a book called "Gone with the Wind, dated 1964. I guess if we searched well here, we could even find Mein Kampf. It seemed like this library closed at night.

We saw a bridge leading to the island. If you're in Hallstatt with kids, I recommend stopping by the children's playground. We really liked the playground here. The slide went directly into the water, and we definitely thought people swim here in the summer.

It was a really cool trip. I was fascinated by the scenery, however, as well as the architecture.
