B&W PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST WEEK #192
Black and White
The rain had fallen all through the night
Now it is morning and everywhere is green
Standing on my verandah
I look ahead at the green lustre vegetation
Just before the fence is a clothesline
The neighbours had washed this morning
Their clothes hanging one the line as it waits
Waiting for the sun
Amongst the palm trees
Is an army of cassava leaves
Cassava is a plant
A tuber plant used to make garri
Garri is Nigeria's most staple food
Very soon the sun will be out
It's rays will play a romance on the clothes
The clothes on the clothesline
The cassava will gladly undergo photosynthesis
I look ahead and marvel at nature
And at mans innovation
