My Introduction to SteemWomen Club Community

Hello steemians, How are you today! Hope you're all fine amidst of this pandemic. Hoping that we can surpass this worldwide virus, that greatly affects us and always include this in our prayer that we can back to our normal life/ situation.

Firstly, I just like to introduce myself in this community. I'm Rodelyn Arobo, with a steemit name @yen80, presently residing in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

Married, with 4 kids (3 boys and 1 girl).

I'm a public school teacher for about 12 years and teaching all the subjects in grade 3. I am happy with my work, Although it is stressful. But upon seeing them that they learn something from me, it's such a very nice feeling.
Teaching is not an easy profession, because we handle different personalities and attitudes especially the young ones. They are good imitators. So, we the teachers are very much careful with our words and also our actions. For the past years of teaching, I handled more than 30 pupils in my classroom but I enjoyed those times. I missed those days teaching face to face classes.

And because of this pandemic, there's a big changes in our classroom setting. Before, I can see all the faces of my pupils, I know who displays good behaviour, and those pupils who need more attention. I know who are good in class and those who need remediation and many more. Now, in this new normal, I can't see them physically since we applied the modular distance learning wherein their parents or guardians go to the school to get the modules or self learning materials for their children which are my pupils.

But eventhough we have no face to face classes, but still learning continues. We also rated their performances in every quarter. We display their works in the gallery of outputs.

And so with us, the teachers, we also continue learning by attending webinars, LAC session and many more just to earn and refresh our knowledge and to learn more in this 21st century for our learners.

As we can see that learners before were different from the learners now. So, we also need to know more strategies and techniques in handling learners in this 21st century.
As a mother, I have to spend time with my kids. Even if I'm busy with my work, but still I find time for them to show them my love and care. Because my family is my inspiration. I work hard for them. All the good things I've done is for them.
