Ceremony After Wedding Day

After the wedding reception there is still a series of ceremonies that must be lived by the pengatin. Starting from Tueng Dara Baro, the ceremony is to invite Dara Baro (bride) and her entourage to the in-laws' house. This ceremony is held seven days after Wo Linto. In this ceremony, the baro wench is paraded to the groom's house accompanied by two visitors.

The bride and groom will bring food and cakes. The way of welcoming the ceremony was almost the same as the wo linto ceremony, but without the procession of reciprocating rhymes and washing feet.

After arriving at the entrance, the group will be welcomed by a male family. The parents of the bride and groom made a betel exchange. At the entrance even the entourage will be sprinkled with rice, potpourri, and leaves as fresh flour or on seunijuk.

After the baro wench sits in the space provided, the linto baro (groom) mother does the plain flour followed by the baro maid prostration to the parents of linto aro. Then the parents of Linto Baro handed over the jewelry that was placed in the flower water.

Dara Baro stayed at Linto Baro's parents' house for seven days accompanied by one or two peunganjo. It was only seven days later that the baro girl was taken home with some clothes, foodstuffs and money. At the house of Barara's virgin mother, the group will be welcomed with a banquet ceremony together. This procession marks the end of all Acehnese traditional wedding ceremonies.
